We've been under the spotlight after disappointing results against Fulham and Chelsea and now the lads are determined to put it right at White Hart Lane.
That spotlight will intensify further with Southampton's arrival - the Saints, of course, are Glenn Hoddle's former club.
Gus stated: "There is too much talk, too many rumours about the game.
"I say it is a big game for the club. For the club that is the directors, staff, players, supporters, everyone around Tottenham.
"We have to make sure we win the game.
"We can show we are ready and will fight and after that, you never know, because you can never predict in football who is going to win games.
"It's a game we will play with the heart but also a clear head. It will be a mix of emotions. We have to be clever out there."
Gus Poyet insists Saturday's Premiership clash against Southampton is a massive game for the whole club.
