Gunning for win

Our reserves are on a mission in the next five days - to beat Arsenal twice and turn up the title heat on Aston Villa.

Victory over Villa last time out kept the title race alive in the Barclays Premier Reserve League South.

Villa would have wrapped it up that night with a win but Clive Allen's squad are still in with a chance, albeit slim, of overhauling them at the top of the table.

That has to start with back-to-back wins over the Gunners at Barnet tonight (Thursday, April 9) and Leyton Orient on Tuesday (April 14). Both kick-off at 7pm.

"It's coming down to the wire, Villa have to close it out and if they slip up I'd like to think we'll be on their coat tails," said Development Coach Clive.

"We've had some fantastic games against Arsenal in recent seasons and there is always an edge, but there's that added edge tonight as we need to win.

"But we don't need any added motivation when we play Arsenal.

"I'm looking for the lads to impress because it's important for each and every one of them - players returning from injury, young players stepping up or lads who know that there are people watching them."

Squad: Alnwick, Button, Hutton, Rocha, Gilberto, Hughton, Livermore, Maghoma, Mtandari, Parrett, Mason, Fraser-Allen, Asajile, Byrne, Nicholson.
