Our groundstaff have been shortlisted in three categories in the prestigious IOG (Institute of Groundsmanship) Industry Awards for 2010.

Grounds Manager Darren Baldwin and his team are one of two finalists for the Professional Sports Ground Management Team of the Year award, Nick Phillips is in the running for Young Groundsman of the Year and the Club are finalists in the Employer of the Year award.

Taking place on Thursday, November 25, at the Swalec Stadium, Cardiff, home of Glamorgan County Cricket Club, the awards acknowledge the high standards achieved by volunteer and professional groundscare skills and facilities, from grass roots to professional stadia level.

The awards are hosted by talkSPORT's Mark Saggers and Micky Quinn and are regarded as the ‘Oscars' for the groundsmanship industry.
