Chris Hughton expects Ledley King's confidence to fly sky high following his inclusion in England's Euro 2004 squad.
Ledley was named in the squad for Portugal on Monday alongside his new team-mate Paul Robinson. Jermain Defoe missed out but remains on standby.
Coach Chris said: "It's all about the experience of being around top quality players and the confidence you gain from being included in that type of company.
"If he has the opportunity to play in the quality of games in the tournament, high-profile, high-intensity games, that can only be good for his confidence for the future.
"If you look at a player reaching his peak in his late 20s - by that we mean physically and emotionally, the presence they have, vocally in the team - the more games you play at a higher level that comes quicker."
