Juande Ramos expects David Bentley to bring plenty to the table at Spurs.
The highly-rated England international became our latest summer signing on Wednesday night and was unveiled to the media alongside Head Coach Juande on Thursday.
He has travelled with the squad to Holland for the Feyenoord Jubileum Tournament and is expected to make his debut against either Celtic on Friday or Borussia Dortmund on Sunday.
"David will bring the best possible ability to our team," said Juande. "He is a very skilful, technical player with an exquisite touch.
"Tactically and strategically, he will bring a lot to the side and we hope we can help him maximise his potential."
Juande revealed that he'd noticed David's performances for both Blackburn and England in the second half of last season. "He had a magnificent season, a great season," he said. "And he has the qualities to do well at this club."
For his part, David feels Juande will bring out the best in him.
"This is a great environment to work in," he said. "Juande Ramos has been there and done it and I have great respect for him.
"I have seen what he has done with the other players. I talked to the lads before I came here and they said he's great. It's hard work, but that's what I want. I want to work hard and enjoy myself and Juande can develop my game and push me on to the next level."
