Anthony Gardner, Simon Davies and Matty Etherington have played very game so far and Gary Doherty made his first start in almost a year after long-term injury in Tuesday's win at Charlton.
All four are still aged 22 or under and all played their part at the Valley, not least Simon, who hit the winner.
Assistant boss John said: "What has been so pleasing for us is the way the young lads have gelled with the experience players.
"Gary has come back from long-term injury and made a contribution the other night. Even Gary, people forget he's only 22.
"Simon and Matthew have played very game and been oustanding as has Anthony at the back.
"There are so many positives from the first three games. Jamie coming in as well, what a signing he's been. People like Taricco, an unsung hero at this club. He's been excellent."
John Gorman heaped praise on the four young guns that have lit up our flying start to the Premiership.
