The boys played possibly their best game of the pre-season and John was more than happy with the quality of football on display and gave special mention to Teddy's opener.
"We were pleased," said John. "It was probably our toughest game, they paraded the UEFA Cup in front of a big crowd of over 40,000.
"It was excellent, the standard of football was superb. They started off very quickly as well, so it was a good tempo and we scored a brilliant goal.
"We played some good football prior to that and it was an excellent finish from Teddy after some wonderful work from Darren and Simon Davies doing the groundwork.
"It was a good performance from the team, every single player contributed well and even the lads who came as subs did well.
"We almost won the game, but two-each was a fair result because they had some good chances as well. Kasey made a couple of good saves and most of their chances were from long range.
"It was great to go there for a pre-season game and get so much out of it."
John reasons that pre-season has gone well, with the only disappointment being the injuries collected. But there is some better news on that front.
"I look back now at pre-season and it's gone very well. A few injuries, but we've just trained and Milenko Acimovic has come back - so hopefully he should be fit for Celtic on Wednesday and so should Dean Richards."
John Gorman was delighted with the performance of the team against UEFA Cup holders Feyenoord in Rotterdam on Sunday.
