Our Yugoslavian defender has almost completed his rehabilitation from a fractured cheekbone after playing in a mask in our last four FA Premier Reserve League outings.
He's back in action for Colin Calderwood's men against Derby County at the Baseball Ground tonight (7pm).
Those games represented the first time he had played reserve team football and suggested it is an idea his home country of Yugoslavia and the rest of Europe should look at.
"Reserve team football is a great idea, I must say," he insisted. "I did not have anything like this in Europe. Maybe it is an idea football in Yugoslavia and Europe can use.
"It is a great idea for players who are injured because they don't normally have games.
"I've enjoyed the games and I've enjoyed our victories. It is a game, it is very hard but it is harder to go straight back into the first team and play 90 minutes.
"You need games like these. Sometimes you play against youngsters but sometimes the teams are very good. It is ideal."
It's a slightly younger looking reserve team tonight wirth Mauricio Consorti and Dean Marney both pencilled in to start.
Alton Thelwell, Anthony Gardner, Ben Thatcher and Oyvind Leonhardsen also start.
Squad: Kelly, Thelwell, Thatcher, Piercy, Gardner, Bunjevcevic, Marney, Consorti, Ferguson, Kamanan, Leonhardsen, Sutton, Jalal, Galbraith, O'Donoghue, Snee.
Goran Bunjevcevic has extolled the virtues of reserve team football.
