Our improving fitness situation was underlined in Sunday's fine win against Leeds United when Christian Ziege and Stephen Carr played as wing-backs together for the first time in a competitive fixture.
Ledley King made only his second appearance of the season, Darren Anderton his second Premiership start and the strength in depth of the squad was there for all to see with the likes of Simon Davies and Jamie Redknapp on the bench.
The options available allowed Glenn Hoddle to revert to a 3-5-2 system and Goran played in his favoured role in the centre of defence for the first time this season.
"We've had lots of problems with injuries," said Goran. "At the start of the season there was always someone missing.
"Now the team is getting together, the players are fit and in good health and that will be good for us. If we can keep consistency of form and health it will be great.
"Of course, it has been a long time since I played in central defence and it was a good feeling because we managed a good victory and the football we played in the first half was excellent.
"Players are back, Ledley, Christian, Carry, Darren. We've also got great players who didn't play against Leeds. That is good for us.
"Things are going in the right way now."
Goran Bunjevcevic believes consistency on two fronts - form and fitness - are the keys to our Premiership aspirations for the rest of this season.
