The Belgrade-born midfielder suffered a nightmare first season in the Premiership as a fractured cheekbone, thigh and knee injuries restricted him to just eight appearances.
It's a different story this season - he's appeared in 30 of our 33 games so far, sitting on the bench twice and only unavailable once.
"I am very pleased with the games I've played," pondered Goran. "Last season was very bad for me with injuries but this season has been very good, I've played 30 games and I realise everything I need to do now.
"I enjoy my position in the team at the moment although I want to do more, I want to score goals and I know I can do that.
"I'm still confident we can reach our target of getting into Europe.
"I'm just delighted because I'm learning all the time, I've avoided injuries and I've had a little luck, which everyone needs.
"The only thing that has disappointed me is our run in the cups but in the Premiership we've had some good, some bad games.
"We've had lots of problems with injuries and that hasn't helped with the consistency of the team.
"It's been a great school for me though. We've eight games left, lots of points to play for and everyone is fighting for something, so it should be an interesting end to the season."
Goran Bunjevcevic rightly takes heart after turning around his fortunes this season.
