The Yugoslav defender, currently occupying a central midfield position, felt we would score the decisive goal after long periods of pressure but was left deflated when James Beattie found the net with eight minutes remaining.
"This is one of those tricky games," he reflected. "You attack all along and feel it is just a matter of time before you score, then concede a goal at the end.
"It goes without saying that we are very disappointed because we deserved much more from this game than we received.
"We need to go further, we have to came back in the FA Cup and the challenge for us is to produce something.
"We also need points to move up the table. If you lose a game it can be hard to claw your way back up."
Goran Bunjevcevic insists that the result did not match the performance in the encounter with Southampton at St Mary's.
