Chris Hughton reflected on the performance of Stephane Dalmat against Villa on Sunday and said 'the signs are very good from him'.
The French midfielder, on loan from Inter Milan, endured a sluggish start to his Premiership experience, one which was compounded by personal problems that are now resolved.
A starter against Arsenal and Villa, Dalmat is now displaying the verve and skills that are sure to make him a big favourite for Spurs fans.
"It is as we thought," said Chris. "Stephane is an offensive player and a very strong athlete who has the ability to go past people.
"When you get players in from other leagues, generally they take time to settle in and get used to a different playing culture. Certainly we saw signs in Stephane on Sunday of an all round game, which perhaps we didn't see when he first arrived.
"The signs are very good from him."
