Good news for Reto

Posted on 24 January 2005  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Reto Ziegler has been boosted by the news that his hamstring injury is not as serious as first feared.

The Swiss youngster limped out of our defeat at Palace on Saturday and Head Coach Martin Jol was faced with losing him for anything between two to six weeks.

But our Head of Medical Facilities Dr Charlotte Cowie reported this afternoon that Reto will be missing for the lower end of that timescale.

"He's had a scan today and there is fluid there, so there is some damage but it is fairly minor," said Charlotte at Spurs Lodge this afternoon.

"The length of time on hamstring injuries always varies depending on how serious the tear is and because it is minor we should be able to get him back fairly quickly.

"He's actually managed to do a bit of running this morning and it's obvious from looking at him that he's not struggling too much with it but at the same time, we don't to push him back too early."

Look out tomorrow for our full injury round-up on the Treatment Table...
