Tonight's clash against Fulham at the Lane is our first outing since beating Sunderland 4-1 in the Premiership at home on February 8.
Boss Glenn explained: "When you've won like that, emphatically, and you've got another home game, you want to play a little quicker than 16 days later.
"But it has given us a chance to give players a bit of a rest and we've quite a few players injured.
"We could have had key games in that time that they would definitely have been out of, so we've gained 16 days of getting injuries in a better condition.
"There are positives and negatives to it but one thing is for sure, the team will be focused and really up for the game on Monday."
Glenn Hoddle admits there have been positive and negative aspects to our 16-day break between matches.
