Heurelho Gomes is confident we can keep our good run of results going when we return to Premier League action at Blackburn on Saturday.

Having gone six games unbeaten in the competition, the goalkeeper feels the team has the quality to pick up points anywhere at the moment.

And with home games against West Ham and Newcastle coming up after our trip to Ewood Park, the Brazilian believes we should be looking to stretch this run for as long as possible.

Gomes knows that we are capable of beating anyone at The Lane with our fantastic support behind us, as well as gaining valuable points on the road as we have shown in recent weeks.

"Every game is difficult but we're in a good spell so we should be confident because of the way we're playing," he said

"After this, we have two home games. So if we can get something at Blackburn, that will set us up nicely.

"The home games are the ones we relish because we have the 12th man in the fans on our side."

During recent games, Gomes has shown arguably the best form he has shown since joining the Club last summer, and feels he has finally got to grips with the Premier League.

"Things are much better now because I understand the English game. The crosses come in fast and there are always men around the goalkeeper, but concentration is the key."
