Tom Huddlestone and Mounir El-Hamdaoui made their returns from injury as a Spurs X1 side overcame Bishop's Stortford 6-4 in a friendly on Tuesday evening.
Huddlestone completed the 90 minutes and El-Hamdaoui a pre-determined 45 minutes, while Sean Davis also got a second full game under his belt following his comeback last week against Norwich City at Stevenage.
It was goals all the way at Woodside Park and the lead was secured on 16 minutes when Kieran McKenna picked up the ball just inside home territory and advanced forward before curling his shot into the top corner from around 25 yards.
The lead lasted until the 28 minute mark when Alex Martin slipped Julian Edwards in behind our defences and he drove past Tommy Forecast into the bottom right hand corner of the net.
Eight minutes later a Phil Ifil cross from the right was nodded home with some power by Lee Barnard and it was 2-1 at the break. Two minutes into the second half Tom Champion bundled over Jamie O'Hara in the area and Barnard did the honours from the penalty spot to register his second of the night.
Two goals in a three minute spell - Richard Howell (50) and Rob Gillman (53) - bought the home side right back in it at 3-3 before McKenna again struck on the hour mark after Barnard held off challenges in the area to roll the ball back in the direction of the midfielder to pick his spot.
It became 5-3 on 64 minutes when a Davis cross was stabbed home by substitute Radwan Hamed and O'Hara extended the advantage to 6-3 a minute later with a burst forward and drilled finish into the bottom left corner.
The Conference South side did not give up and, with just over 20 minutes remaining, the scoring was completed for the night when Sam Adejokun ran onto a headed flick and cooly slotted past Forecast.
Team: Forecast, Ifil (Mills 80), Daniels, Huddlestone, McKie, Maghoma, Davis, McKenna (Riley 67), O'Hara, Barnard, El-Hamdaoui (Hamed 45).
