Posted on 25 May 2004  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

We'll be asking for your votes for our goal of the season later this week - first we'll run you through the 10 candidates this week...

On Friday, all 10 goals will go to our poll page with the top five then highlighted on our video service THTV.

Continuing the countdown...

Goal C: Fredi Kanoute v Everton, White Hart Lane, Saturday October 4

The goal: Kasey Keller cleared long and Fredi went for the initial ball, it bounced to Gus Poyet who cushioned a header back for the striker to unleash a 30-yard dipping volley beyond Nigel Martyn.

He said: "It was a goal I wasn't expecting and it was just before half-time, so it was a good time. I headed it first, Gus headed it back, I saw it bounce and hit it how I could. It was a special goal."

Goal D: OJ Mabizela v Leicester City, Walkers Stadium, Sunday October 19

The goal: The South African skipper took just four minutes to make his mark after coming off the bench with a thunderbolt from 30 yards to level the scores.

He said: "It is very special - getting my first game and scoring my first goal. I have never scored such a goal before!"
