Posted on 24 May 2004  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

We'll be asking for your votes for our goal of the season later this week - first we'll run you through the 10 candidates this week...

On Friday, all 10 goals will go to our poll page with the top five then highlighted on our video service THTV.

Goal A: Mauricio Taricco v Leeds United, White Hart Lane, Saturday August 23

The goal: Trailing Leeds 1-0 with 42 minutes on the clock, Tano picked up Jamie Redknapp's pass in space on the left, cut in and smashed an unstoppable shot into the top corner from 25 yards.

He said: "We needed a goal from somewhere and luckily it was me. Whoever scored, it would have been great."

Goal B: Fredi Kanoute v Leeds United, White Hart Lane, Saturday August 23

The goal: Fredi had only been on for 10 minutes when, with his back to goal, he flicked up a half-clearance from a free-kick and volleyed beyond Paul Robinson.

He said: "I haven't seen it on television yet, but I don't think I've scored one like that before. There is no better way to start than scoring on your debut."
