Coaches Steve Embleton, Anton Blackwood, Shaun Harris and Terry Fogarty will be working with nearly 100 young players during the camp, run in partnership with Shanghai Leader.

It is part of the Club’s continued work to develop the game at grassroots level across the world through its Global Coaching team.

The Shanghai camp is the latest of a number of Global Coaching projects run in China, where the government has established a target of making the country a football superpower by 2050 with a national team capable of winning the World Cup.

Our Global Coaching team brings methods used within the Club’s Academy to young players around the world, aiding player development in ‘the Spurs Way’.

In partnership with Shanghai Leader, our Global Coaching team will aim to reach 20,000 young players in the province, with a residential camp for young players from Shanghai being held in London later this summer.
