Manager Glenn, who admits he won’t feel like he’s embarking on his five-year contract until returning for pre-season in July, is looking at bringing in quality players, getting players back from injury and continuing to develop our impressive youngsters.
He explained: “There are three areas we’re looking at. First bringing people in with quality, that’s very important, then getting players back from injury and keeping them fit and the third thing is to groom the youngsters, giving them opportunities, teaching them things and grooming them to be worth a lot of money.
“Hopefully we’ll bring players in, hopefully we’ll have players fit and hopefully the younger players will come on for their experience because that is all healthy competition.
“You need a strong squad to keep up with the likes of United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Leeds and that’s what I’m aiming for.
“We need to have a strong squad, a squad when, for any given reason, if you lose a couple of players the squad isn’t lessened.”
Glenn Hoddle has a three-point plan to get the club back in the big time.
