Glenn's Keane on Robbie

Posted on 22 April 2003  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Glenn Hoddle declared at West Brom that we'll always have a chance of winning games with an in-form Robbie Keane around.

The boss was full of praise for the Irish striker after his two-goal haul in the 3-2 win at the Hawthorns.

Robbie's goals came right out the top drawer - a one-two with Teddy Sheringham for the first before latching onto Ledley King's pass and volleying home the winner just four minutes from time.

Glenn said: "Robbie is in great form for us at the moment and when you have got a goalscorer like that you have always got a chance of winning games.

"He has now scored five goals against West Brom and in a way I'm sure they'll be pleased to see to see the back of him. As a striker you sometimes find that you do particularly well against certain teams.

"His finishes were excellent, first class and that's his fourth goal in his last four games.

"We played some lovely football which at times and the first goal was classic Tottenham. That came right on the stroke of half-time gave us a big lift.

"We were playing well enough at the time but we were 1-0 down and you've always got an uphill struggle when you are away from home.

"I felt we were in control of the game for long periods and it was whether or not we were going to put the ball in the back of the net. We did it in the end."
