Kicking off with Glenn and Dean Richards' return to Southampton on Boxing Day, that spell includes our FA Cup third round tie at Coventry City and the first leg of the Worthington Cup semi-final at Chelsea.
Les Ferdinand was only fit enough for a late appearance as substitute against Ipswich on Saturday while Gus Poyet was rested.
With Teddy Sheringham facing a three-match ban for his red card changes may be forced anyway.
Glen said: "We've got games coming up very quickly. Les has done no training whatsoever and he's still getting pain from the front of his ankle. He's not in good physical shape but we'll see how he responds to training.
"Gus was rested to give him a break. I feel Simon has done well and is confident in front of his own supporters but Gus has the experience away from home and we've now two away games back to back.
"We have to look at that with so many games coming up and the semi-final as well. We will have to use the squad, that will be forced upon us."
Glenn Hoddle says he will use his squad to the full as we approach a crucial spell of five matches in 15 days.
