At the heart of the side Darren turned in another sparkling performance and provided the impetus for most of our best moves. Glenn feels Darren is now hitting his peak.
"He is at the very height of his form and at 29 is in his peak," purred Glenn after the game.
"He's got a great engine and is now a good all round player, he really is, and is working really hard for the team.
"It is lovely to see the crowd responding to him and he has now buried that horrible nickname. It's wonderful to see."
On the overall performance, Glenn added: "We were clinical and had a nice balance at the back.
"I'm delighted to be through and we've now got a good home game against Tranmere to look forward to.
"We've got to keep going now in the league, show the same energy and ruthlessness and see it through."
Glenn also reserved a mention for Matthew Etherington, our young leftie notching his first senior goal for the club.
"He was excellent," reflected the boss. "He's a young lad who did well for us, showed good confidence and scored a great goal.
"He's still got a lot to learn, but he will improve as a player."
