Tim, who left for Portsmouth in January, had his critical say in the Sun this morning.
It was naturally a hot topic at this afternoon's pre-Blackburn Rovers press conference at Spurs Lodge, but Glenn would only say: "I haven't got much to say about that.
"All I will say is that it's strange that nine months ago he was desperate to stay at this club - if he felt things were so bad with it, why would he want to stay?
"I was honest to let him know that we wouldn't extend his contract and as soon as that happened, his tune changed. He's had an axe to grind since then.
"He was also out for seven months with a knee injury from pre-season right through until Christmas.
"Those are the facts, end of story. There is a lot more that I could say but as a manager, I won't lower myself to that level."
Glenn Hoddle refused to enter a slanging match with Tim Sherwood when quizzed about the midfielder's comments in the national press this afternoon.
