Glenn on Zola

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Glenn Hoddle describes Gianfranco Zola, Teddy Sheringham and Gus Poyet as players 'kids can look up to'.

The experienced trio are likely to share the pitch when we take on Chelsea at the Lane on Sunday.

While we know all about Gus, 14 goals last season, just back from injury and skipper Teddy, leading the line as well as always and four goals so far this term, Zola appears reborn.

Now 36, Zola is the Premiership's leading marksman with eight goals to his name so far.

Glenn is a big fan of the Italian. "He's always been a player who I've admired," he said. "And rightly so. He plays the game in the right manner.

"He's the type of player that you want kids to look at. If they can try to take after players like Zola, Teddy, Gus, those players are the positive sides of football.

"Gus is so infectious and a great professional. He's very fit, an athlete and Teddy and the likes of Zola have got to have that physical fitness and a love for football.

"Gus certainly has that - a burning love for the game and that gets you through at, let's put it this way, 30-plus."

As for Zola's form, Glenn added: "He started the season very well and maintained it. Perhaps it's that. I think he's started every game and maybe that's the difference."
