Now 36, Zola is the Premiership's leading marksman with eight goals to his name so far.
Glenn is a big fan of the Italian. "He's always been a player who I've admired," he said. "And rightly so. He plays the game in the right manner.
"He's the type of player that you want kids to look at. If they can try to take after players like Zola, Teddy, Gus, those players are the positive sides of football.
"Gus is so infectious and a great professional. He's very fit, an athlete and Teddy and the likes of Zola have got to have that physical fitness and a love for football.
"Gus certainly has that - a burning love for the game and that gets you through at, let's put it this way, 30-plus."
As for Zola's form, Glenn added: "He started the season very well and maintained it. Perhaps it's that. I think he's started every game and maybe that's the difference."
