Not having watched a television replay, the boss conceded that the decision was a tricky one to call in terms of whether the offence - a challenge on Garry Flitcroft - warranted a red or yellow card.
"It is a difficult one, I suppose it depends on what angle you see it from," said Glenn. "I've only seen it once and have not seen a replay.
"Some refs will see it as a red card and some will see it as a booking.
"We had to take it on the chin as that is what the ref has seen and, on analysing it, we might find that it was the correct decision."
Glenn Hoddle did not dispute the sending-off of Gus Poyet against Blackburn.
