Glenn’s appeal follows the midweek match against Fiorentina when a near capacity White Hart Lane crowd continually produced anti-Campbell chants.
Said Glenn: “I personally am not happy when I hear the abuse that Sol is getting. Yes we were disappointed at the time but that is now history.
“He’s made his decision and it’s one he wanted to make. Although I was surprised at that decision it was his free choice.
“I would rather our supporters turned their energies to supporting and getting behind us and actually putting pressure on opposing sides rather than talk about what is going on down the road.
“To me it’s a big negative that needs to go away quickly. It is not doing our club any good whatsoever.
“I want our fans to be positive and focussed purely on what we are doing. Anything else is just a waste of time and energy.”
Glenn Hoddle has urged our supporters to forget Sol Campbell and get behind the team.
