Glenn leads the applause

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Glenn Hoddle saluted the lads after what he described as our 'best performance for a long time' against Leeds United.

Magnificent strikes from Mauricio Taricco and Fredi Kanoute on his debut secured a 2-1 Premiership win after the visitors took an early lead via Alan Smith.

There was a lot to admire about the display as we dominated throughout.

Dean Richards and Ledley King barely put a foot wrong in defence on their return from injury - the pair only completed their first games for the reserves on Tuesday after missing pre-season - Jamie Redknapp sprayed the ball around in midfield and Helder Postiga looked sharp up front.

"It was as good as we've seen for a long time and I've got to say the crowd were fantastic," beamed Glenn. "The lads responded to that.

"We went a goal down and that was a blow because once they got in front we had to keep the balance of trying to get back into the game and not give the second away.

"But they hardly created another chance after that and that's great credit to the lads.

"We had a good shape and balance. It was good performance and we could have come away scoring four or five.

"The crowd were great from the start and fantastic when we were 1-0 down, when we needed them. Tano's goal took the roof off and you could tell they were pumped up."
