Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Glenn Hoddle was generally pleased with our 3-1 pre-season friendly win against Swindon Town on Tuesday night.

“I was pleased with some aspects and disappointed with others,” said the boss after second half goals from Steffen Iversen, Yannick Kamanan and John Piercy turned around a 1-0 half-time deficit.

“But it’s still very early in pre-season and it was about getting another 45 minutes under their belts.

“We’ve now another game on Thursday, another on Saturday and then next Wednesday, so we’ve a heavy schedule but we’ve a squad that can deal with that. “We’ll now start looking at playing 90 minutes of football.

“All in all, the first two games have gone well but they’ve had a hard session, a two-hour session this morning, before the game, so we were looking at fitness levels rather than anything else. We’ll build it up tactically as we go along.”

Glenn elected to play different sides with different formations in each half and was pleased with how the players responded.

He added: “There were a lot of pleasing things — the way we passed the ball, we used the ball well, both sides.

“We played two different shapes, first half with wing-backs, the second half a 4-3-3, which caused them problems. Individually there were some good performances as well.

“There was lots of stuff that we’ll work on and evident we can improve on but the attitude was good. It was a good night for us.”
