Glenn Hoddle expects Aston Villa to be firing on all cylinders on Saturday despite suffering a rare blip at home last time out.
Villa have won five of their last six matches on their own patch in the Premiership but suffered a 4-1 defeat in the FA Cup against Blackburn Rovers in their last outing at Villa Park a fortnight ago.
They recovered impressively from that setback with a draw at Liverpool last week and have lost just four of their last 13 league starts.
"They lost 4-1 in the FA Cup so it will be different for them because they've had a home loss in their last game at Villa Park," reasoned Glenn.
"They'd started to get a run going at home but then picked up a very good point at Anfield when they hadn't been playing so well away from home. They perhaps played well enough to win that game.
"So they are in a good mood and have some excellent players."
Glenn is determined to go one better than last season at Villa Park when we led 1-0 until injury time when Darren Anderton handled in the area and Juan Pablo Angel tucked away the penalty.
"We were very unfortunate there last season," he added. "we felt we let them off the hook after leading so we're going back to try and nick those extra two points that we threw away last season."
