GIVE IT UP FOR THE GIRLS!

The Spurs Ladies were given good recognition for their achievements at Haringey Borough’s Phenomenal Women’s Day, held at the College of North East London, on Saturday.

The Spurs Ladies were given good recognition for their achievements at Haringey Borough’s Phenomenal Women’s Day, held at the College of North East London, on Saturday.First Team manager June Clark picked up an Unsung Women’s Award at the event, held to recognise the achievement of women in Haringey and the vital role they play in the community.

This followed a practical demonstration by Spurs Ladies Under-12 Blues, taken by the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation’s Girls’ Football Development Officer, Karen Hills, in-front of an impressed audience.

Karen said: “I was very impressed with the standard of football of the girls on the day and the level of skill these girls have.”

Other speakers at the event included International Racing driver Rachel Green, People’s Peer Lady Hulya Ahmed, and Chief Executive of Haringey Council Dr Ita O’Donovan.
