Giovani Dos Santos became the third Spurs player to get on the scoresheet during the latest round of internationals in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The forward's 61st minute strike saved Mexico's blushes in a 2-2 friendly draw with 10-man Venezuela in Oaxaca.

Juan Arango twice put the visitors in front, only to see both strikes cancelled out by Premier League players - Gio and Manchester United's Javier Hernandez.

But South American outfit Venezuela will take more positives from the run-out having had defender Gabriel Cichero dismissed in only the 24th minute.

Gio's goal, his sixth at international level, came courtesy of an angled drive having been set up by West Ham's Pablo Barrera.

He joined Niko Kranjcar and Gareth Bale in finding the net for his country on Tuesday night.

Elsewhere in the Euro 2012 qualifiers, Robbie Keane missed a penalty in the Republic of Ireland's 1-1 draw in Slovakia while Rafael van der Vaart set up the first of four goals Holland put past Sweden in Amsterdam.
