Robinho will certainly be Manchester City's man to watch on Sunday, so our very own Brazilian international has given us his thoughts.

Gilberto has featured with the tricky forward on numerous occasions for the national side and knows he will be giving us a tough test in the Barclays Premier League clash at Eastlands.

The most expensive player in Britain has already hit seven goals since moving to Manchester from Real Madrid in the summer.

And although Gilberto is amazed at how quickly his friend has settled, he feels Robinho is an example of how good a player with confidence can be.

However, confidence is the key word for Gilberto as he describes our own current form, and he believes we have every chance of stopping Robinho and claiming the three points.

"Robinho is a wonderful player and difficult to defend against because of his pace and skill," said Gilberto.

"He's not all about strength, he is a flair player, and he is so dangerous when he is on the ball.

"Since the Premier League is so physical, I thought Robinho may have problems settling in at first, so his form has surprised me.

"But he is playing with happiness, which is the most important thing, and he's just playing the game he wants to play.

"However, we are playing with the same sort of happiness, which is good for us and it is showing in our performances of late.

"We kept a clean sheet on Thursday night, and if we defend as a unit, we have every chance of winning this game."
