Gilberto knows more than most about tonight's opponents Borussia Dortmund having played in the German Bundesliga with previous club Hertha Berlin.
And although he is well aware of the size of the task we face at the De Kuip Stadium, the Brazilian has every confidence we will claim victory and, as a result, the Feyenoord Jubileum Tournament trophy.
The 32-year-old was encouraged by the performance which saw us run out 2-0 winners over Celtic on Friday, and believes the same form should see us past Dortmund.
Gilberto said: "Borussia are a big club in Germany, but after Friday's performance against Celtic, I believe we have a good chance tonight.
"Dortmund have had a good pre-season so far, but I think we have had more time together as a squad, which bodes well for us.
"Borussia reached the final of the German Cup last season but they are re-building as a team. As long as we play our own game, we will be fine.
"Tonight's game is very big for us because we have been having a good pre-season up until now, with the new players settling in well, so I think we can improve on last season
"This is my first pre-season competition with the Club, so I am looking forward to the game and hope I can do a job for the team."
