It's the midfielder's first trip away with the squad following his arrival from Sheffield United in January.
On target last time out against Leicester, Michael explained: "This has been exactly what I've needed to get to know the lads a bit better and know more about them than just football.
"It's been a great bonding trip and good for the group.
"It's ideal for building team spirit and that's something you can take out on the pitch with you.
"It's all about getting to know your team-mates as friends and you always back your friends up.
"We've trained hard as well which has been tough in the heat. It's been hard work and we're all looking forward to getting back and getting cracking again."
Michael has reason to look forward to our next game against Middlesbrough on Tuesday week, March 9.
Born in Hartlepool, it's one of two 'local' games for his family to see him in action.
"Middlesbrough is only about eight miles from Hartlepool so it's a nice one for me," he said. "Most of my family are based up there and they'll all be at the game.
"It's a tough one especially with them just having won the the Carling Cup but we had a good away win at Charlton last time out and we'll be looking to win it."
Michael Brown says our training break in Dubai has been perfect for him in terms of getting to know his new team-mates.
