We travel to a West Ham outfit that has dumped both Manchester United and Sunderland out of the FA Cup in the quarter-finals on Sunday March 11.
Boss George described the draw as ‘the next best thing’ after a home tie and despite making Harry Redknapp’s men favourites, said we had nothing to fear
George said: “First of all we would all like to have got a home draw in the quarter-finals, every manager and every club would want that, but if you are not going to get a home draw then a local derby in London is probably the next best thing.
“We will have a big support there and with local derbies, the home ground advantage is not so important. If we’re going to be drawn away a London club is preferable.
“There is no doubt about it that West Ham have taken the glory from their last two games, winning two very difficult games at United and Sunderland, so obviously they will be amongst the favourites for the competition.
“It will be a change being the underdogs against West Ham but we have won two previous ties in London and there is no reason why we shouldn’t be optimistic.”
George Graham insists we will go into our biggest game of the season as underdogs.
