George Graham will kick-off the second week of pre-season training at Spurs Lodge on Monday after admitting: "It's great to be back." The boss has bounced back after being laid low by the effects of arthritis in April.
After a short spell in hospital and a break from the hectic scene of the Premiership, he was back at the training ground at the end of last season and back in matchday action for the final game against Sunderland.
He told us back in May that, come pre-season training, he would be back in his tracksuit and that has been exactly the case.
Enthusiastic as ever, Graham enthused: "I'm feeling very good. I've had very good medical people looking after me and it's great to be back. I love pre-season training and being back here working with the boys."
Unfortunately, he missed out on joining in with last week's cross-country runs - but only to a certain extent. He said: "I haven't done the runs this year but I've cheated a little and got myself a mountain bike. I've been out there with the boys on my bike and I've enjoyed it.
"I think it's important that I get my ideas over to the players and they see me on a daily basis. They may get fed up with me, but that's why I'm here. I enjoy working with the them and hopefully that will continue."
