George Graham will find himself up against the Jim Jefferies factor at Valley Parade on Saturday.
The boss insists struggling Bradford City have already been lifted in the Scotsman’s first fortnight in Yorkshire. Results certainly suggest that is the case — Jefferies boasts a win and a draw in his two games in charge and although still bottom, his side are now in touch with Middlesbrough, Derby and Coventry.
George said: “I think the new manager has obviously come in with his own ideas and philosophy and everyone is trying to prove a point.
“A new manager comes in and everyone seems to try that little bit harder so I’m sure they’ll be up for it and we’ll have to match them in attitude, enthusiasm and probably the ability side of it will have to look after itself.”
George is certainly expecting a scrap against a side renowned for a never-say-die attitude. “I think it will the type of game where it will be all about the result,” he added.
“It will be a scrap, they are fighting for their life and they will roll their sleeves up and give it everything. We have to match them in that department.”
Listen to George's pre-match interview in full by clicking here
By Paul Miles
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
