Harry Redknapp has praised Gareth Bale after the 21-year-old last night scooped the PFA Players’ Player of the Year award.
The Welshman was rewarded on the back of what has been a tremendous season so far, and joins a list of the English game’s great players to have picked up the accolade over the years.
And Harry believes this is just the start for Gareth and admits to being delighted for a player who has been such a key part of his team over the past 15 months.
The manager said: “You only have to look at the players who have won it in the past, it’s an amazing achievement for a kid at that age to win this prestigious award.
“He has got everything to be a world-class player. He has got pace, can dribble, can shoot, can head it, he has got the lot really - he is such a talent.
“He has still got plenty to learn but he wants to learn and he is a smashing guy. He is still so young and will only get better and better. There is certainly a lot more to come from him.”
