Red Nose Day is back today and Comic Relief is asking the nation to do something funny for money.

The possibilities are endless - from sponsored sweet eating and holding cake sales to fancy dress football matches and paying to dress red for the day.

Gareth Bale has got in on the act by donning his Red Nose and encouraging all Spurs supporters to do the same.

The Welshman says: “There are loads of ways you can get involved in Red Nose Day 2011 and support Comic Relief’s work right here in London, around the rest of the UK and in Africa.

"It doesn’t matter whether you eat something weird, challenge a mate to a kick-up challenge or simply buy a Red Nose - just make sure that you do something funny for money, have a laugh and most importantly raise some serious cash for Comic Relief.”

Red Nose Day will culminate in a brilliant night of TV with Comic Relief: Funny for Money.

The line up of presenters includes top comedians Kevin Bridges, James Corden, Fearne Cotton, Lenny Henry, Michael McIntyre, Graham Norton, Jonathan Ross, and Jack Whitehall.

What’s more, there is a whole host of comedy gold coming your way! You can expect to see special sketches from TV’s finest stars, including the talented cast of Outnumbered, the hilarious cast of Miranda and TV Burp’s cheeky Harry Hill, as they all do something funny for money. And that’s just the beginning!
