Gareth Bale has expressed his delight on committing his future to the Club until 2012 and is relishing being part of Juande Ramos' long-term plans.
The 19-year-old is raring to go with the 2008/09 campaign about to begin, and putting pen to paper on a new deal is an added boost for the Welsh international.
Gareth is looking to build on the progress he feels he has made as a player since arriving at The Lane from Southampton just over a year ago, and be part of what he feels is a bright future at the Club.
In his first interview since agreeing his new deal, Gareth said: "I'm happy to be putting pen to paper and hopefully I can just kick on and do well now.
"I thought I was progressing really well at the start of last season and I learnt a lot off the pitch during my time on the sidelines which I can add to my game.
"It's a great feeling to be part of the long-term plans here. It's a great club with fantastic coaching staff, and I think everyone here wants to be part of it.
"I'm committed to the Club now and I am looking to achieve many things here and do my best for Spurs."
