Gareth Bale insists we have to stay at the top of our game to maintain our fine recent run in the Premier League.

The winger played his part again in the latest success last Sunday as we recorded a 2-1 victory at Blackburn Rovers to make it five wins and a draw in our last six Premier League outings.

That hard-fought win was typical of the Premier League – remember, Rovers are bottom – and Gareth expects a similar challenge from newly-promoted QPR at the Lane on Sunday.

Rangers toppled Chelsea last weekend and will bring that confidence to N17 as we meet in the Premier League for the first time since December, 1995.

“I don’t think there are any easy games,” said Gareth, at his damaging best down the left in spells at Ewood Park.

“Teams are either battling for survival, fighting a place in Europe, the top four or the title, so every game is difficult.

“We knew that would be the case at Blackburn last week and we were prepared for it and we’ll prepare exaxctly the same way for another tough game against QPR on Sunday.”

The unbeaten run since August 28 has seen us move up to fifth in the table.

“We’re playing good football and it’s great to be part of it,” added the Welsh star.

“We want to keep playing well, continue winning and try to push ourselves as high up the table as possible.”
