The defender has recovered after picking up a slight shin problem at our training camp in France and plays for the first time since our opening friendly win against Bordeaux on July 13.
Development coach Clive Allen reported: “Anthony’s had a few days training now and needs to get back into the games as soon as possible after a slight injury. JJ will also get the opportunity for more match time.â€Â
England World Cup squad member Jermaine made his first friendly appearance with a 45-minute stint at Bishop's Stortford last week.
Clive is happy with the Spurs XI’s squad’s progress in pre-season and feels the inclusion of the more senior professionals has had a real impact on the younger lads.
“We'll have a mixed squad again at Fisher and that's good for the youngsters,†said Clive. “It always seems to raise the bar when the seniors are with them.
“It has worked well and it's not just about the game situations, the squad trains together before matches and the atmosphere has been great and the training very competitive.
“They all know how important it is to get their match legs and we've had some good performances and results allied with that.
“We've set high standards and we need to maintain that from day one.â€Â
The match kicks-off at 7.45pm.
