The elegant defender was named our man-of-the-match in the defeat against Orlando Pirates and performed well again against both Kaizer Chiefs and in Sunday's defeat against Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven.
Mateja Kezman, PSV's top-scorer last season with 35 goals, proved a handful all afternoon.
"The last few games have been a good test for me," he said. "Obviously the two games in South Africa were different styles of football and it was great to experience that.
"Kezman was very lively, strong, clever and PSV also had plenty of pace down the flanks, so it was a good test for us defensively. Of course you'd like to win every game but these friendlies are all about fitness and preparation really."
Anthony was hit by injuries again last season and knows that every minute of pre-season is of benefit for him.
"This pre-season is very important for me," he added. "I feel good so far, feel fit and hopefully I can take that into the start of the Premiership. I'd love to stay fit for the season."
