The central defender - recruited from Port Vale in January 200 - signed his new deal on Thursday just before heading out to La Manga for a pre-season training camp with the rest of the squad.

Speaking at the Spanish resort, Anthony commented: "You could look at like that. It is a another platform to build on for me after what I've been trying to build for the last couple of years here.
"Injuries have unfortunately got in the way a bit and I am going to do everything in my power to remain fit and healthy and enjoy the coming seasons without too many problems."
Anthony added that the sealing of the deal provides a timely tonic ahead of the new season.
"I'm glad to get it sorted and it does give me a boost. I had one year left and was wondering what would happen - I now know I will be involved for the next few years."
Anthony Gardner says his new contract gives him the platform and security to develop his career at the club.
