The 21-year-old, who has won 10 Under-21 caps for his country, joins us from MTK Hungaria in Hungary and, while he admits this is a big decision for him, he's very excited about the move.
"This is a big step for me, but I’m not worried about it, I’m really looking forward to playing for Spurs and it's a pleasure to be here," said Marton, who already speaks excellent English.
"I was on trial for three days recently, it went well and everybody was very good to me, so I'm delighted the move has gone through. Tottenham is a very popular club in my country and when I watched the Premiership matches back home, Tottenham was always very close to me, so to join them is great."
Marton knows he's got a tough job on his hands to break through into the first team, but has made a debut in the Premier League an early target, as well as a full international cap for his country.
"I know that there are two very good goalkeepers in front of me in Paul Robinson and Kasey Keller, but I’m a hard-worker and I will try to do my best to play my first game in the Premiership as soon as possible.
"I’m still first choice for the Hungary Under-21s, but it will hopefully be much easier for me to break into the senior side now that I am at Tottenham with more exposure.
"I’m very proud to be part of this club and hope to be part of a bright future here."
Hungarian Under-21 international goalkeeper Marton Fulop has signed for us this afternoon having impressed on a recent trial.
