Having won a place in the starting line-up at the start of the season, the stylish defender picked up a thigh problem after scoring the winner against West Ham that ruled him out for the next seven weeks.
A nagging knee problem then got the better of him after his reappearance at Burnley a fortnight ago and he's been sidelined since.
"It's been frustrating," said Anthony. "I've played and then got a knock that has kept me out. I'd just love to stay injury-free and get a run of games under my belt.
"I'm just continuing the rehab on my knee at the moment. I've got to get it right before I try and step it up again.
"It was something I felt for a couple of weeks, just a niggle and I must have made it worse at Burnley.
"It think it's just a bit of wear and tear and hopefully I'll get away with resting it. With any luck I won't be out too long."
Anthony Gardner admits he's been left frustrated by the stop-start nature of his season so far.
