The former team-mates at Red Star Belgrade have been reunited at Spurs following Milenko's arrival at the end of last season.
Yugoslavian international Goran is now very much part of things at the club but says a friendly face will help Milenko settle into new surroundings both on and off the park.
He said: "Milenko is here and for me and him, it is good for both of us.
"I can help him around. It is good to have someone here I know very well.
"I feel part of the team now and everyone gave me a great reception when I arrived and now I will help Milo to be like that.
"It is also good because I can spreak with him and our wives can help each other. It is easier for our lifestyles and that can only help our football."
Goran Bunjevcevic believes Milenko Acimovic's arrival will bring out the best of both of them.
