Freund, Perry in squad

Posted on 19 May 2001  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Steffen Freund and Chris Perry have been named in the squad to face Manchester United on Saturday - although boss Glenn Hoddle has already hinted that neither player will be risked.

Midfielder Steffen has been out with a knee ligament injury sustained in training just prior to the FA Cup semi-final.

Defender Chris badly gashed a knee in a 50-50 tackle with Chelsea's Mario Melchiot on April. Both were back in full training this week.

On the down side, Tim Sherwood has failed to recover from a shin injury sustained in our last fixture against Leicester City.

He joins Sol Campbell, Ledley King, Mauricio Taricco, Sergei Rebrov, Chris Armstrong, Ben Thatcher and Darren Anderton on the missing list.

Squad: Sullivan, Walker, Carr, Freund, Perry, Ferdinand, Doherty, Korsten, Leonhardsen, Young, Clemence, Etherington, Davies, Gardner, Thelwell, Ferguson, Piercy.
