Fredi on outside chance

Posted on 13 May 2005  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Fredi Kanoute insists that for as long as there remains a chance of UEFA Cup qualification the team will be going all out to seize the opportunity.

"It is a small chance, but still a chance and we are going to work for it, said the striker. "It is not all in our own hands."

Many a portable radio will be tuned in for updates from the City of Manchester Stadium where Middlesbrough are the visitors. To retain our hopes of clinching 7th place we need Manchester City to emerge as narrow winners, with our team scoring two goals more than Stuart Pearce's side.

Fredi is well aware of the requirements from his end.

"We are going to need goals - winning 1-0 is not enough," he stated, before adding our own opponents Blackburn Rovers will be no final day easy pickings. "You never know in England though, I know Blackburn are a strong team and they have been playing well. I remember the game they played against Arsenal, for example, they made it very tough for them.

"It is going to be very difficult for us, I know we can score many goals like we did in our last home game, but it won't be easy. If we start well though and score early in the game I think we can do it if things elsewhere go our way."
